CNR – Espoir

Sealand Projects were appointed by installation contractor BW Offshore to assist with delivery of the CNR Espoir Ivoirien FPSO, extension to operation project.

The scope encompassed replacement of the top 500m of each (6no.) mooring chain and (1no.) 12” production riser replacement.

Sealand Projects were responsible for several key areas:

IMCA Compliance / Marine Assurance (DSV and ADSV)

Interface between CNR,  Diving TA and the nominated Vessel Owners for both AIR & Saturation diving to ensure all actions identified in HIRA / Marine Assurance Audit / IMCA compliance gap review were closed out in readiness for the offshore campaign.

Structural Engineering

  • Vessel motions analysis to calculate governing design case operational and storm case motions criteria.
  • Seafastening design for the Air Dive equipment.
  • Installation and commissioning of the mobile air spread
  • Deck structural integrity check c/w provision of deck strengthening requirements, if required.
  • Fabrication drawings for all necessary steelwork.
  • Installation drawings for all equipment and seafastenings.
  • Support discussions with classification body pertaining to all aspects of the equipment installation.
  • Manage in-country subcontractors for fabrication of seafastenings and installation of the Air Dive Spread.

Marshalling / Mobilisation / Logistics

  • In-country quayside material, procurement and logistics coordination / management
  • Mobilisation / Demobilisation of project equipment on Construction & Diving Support Vessel (CDSV) and Air Dive Vessel

Offshore Project Engineering

  • Preparations onboard CDSV and FPSO
  • Mooring chain replacement
  • Dewatering of Riser
  • Disconnection of riser
  • Lift, Shift and wet storage of existing riser to pre-identified location
  • Deployment and Installation of new 12” Riser (from FPSO towards subsea end) including saturation diving for subsea tie-in to existing flowline and for closing clamp securing gate at MWA.
  • Post-installation Commissioning and Testing
