Wassana – Flexible Hose Replacement

Sealand Projects were appointed by Mooring Systems Ltd to support KrisEnergy deliver the Wassana Hose Replacement scope in the Gulf of Thailand.

The field located in block G10/48 covers 1,525 sq km in the Gulf of Thailand over the southern margin of the Pattani Basin in water depths up to 60 metres. The G10/48 license area contains the Wassana, Niramai, Mayura and Rayrai oil discoveries. The Wassana field comprises 14 development wells producing to a mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) with oil transferred to a floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO).

Project scope

The scope encompassed recovery and replacement of a damaged 225m length of 6” flexible Manuli® hose, for a new 240m length section, from the DSV Mermaid Commander; with associated mattress lay and leak testing.

Sealand Projects were responsible for several key areas:
