We are pleased to announce the opening of our Graduate intake for Autumn 2022, for Graduate Project & Analysis Engineers.

Sealand Projects Ltd are based in Aberdeen, with a secondary office in Glasgow, and have clients all over the world across oil & gas, offshore renewable and marine sectors. Working with an experienced team from a variety of disciplines, the company can offer the right candidates the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of subsea construction engineering both onshore and offshore.

Recent graduates have had exposure to FEED studies, rigid / flexible pipelay projects, floating wind, subsea structure installation, and generation of installation procedures, in addition to spending time offshore supporting The Ocean Cleanup.

Key roles & responsibilities include:

General:
-Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF files.
-Ability to communicate clearly through the creation of high-quality documentation.
-Take a positive and proactive approach with the wider team of specialist engineers.
-Demonstrate a willingness to get involved, question processes, and develop your own engineering knowledge.
-Interpret and contribute towards the production of technical drawings, storyboards, and 3D animations.
-Gain an understanding of HSE requirements and considerations.
-Develop a commercial understanding and contribute to tenders.

Specific responsibilities for the roles include:

Graduate Project Engineers:
-Take part in the delivery of study scopes of work (FEED / feasibility studies).
-Review and delivery of project-specific documentation.
-Contribute towards internal R&D of renewable and emerging technologies.
-Obtain an understanding of construction vessels, their capabilities, and use in an offshore environment.
-Prepare tendering packages for Project Engineering scopes.
-Spend time on site / offshore as project requirements dictate.

Graduate Analysis Engineers:
-Learn and gain proficiency with industry standard OrcaFlex software, common design codes, hydrodynamics, and installation techniques.
-Generate subsea installation analysis using OrcaFlex software through development of static & dynamic simulations (e.g. pipelay, structures, vessels, mooring systems).
-Interpret client data including: design codes, geotechnical data, metocean data, vessel RAOs, field layouts and product datasheets.
-Opportunities will also exist to gain experience in Project Engineering (see above roles & responsibilities), including spending time on site and offshore as company requirements dictate.

This is a 2-year programme due to commence in September 2022, though an option exists to bring forward the start date if preferred. Candidates should be degree qualified (MEng) and qualified to live and work in the UK. Project roles can be Aberdeen or Glasgow, Analysis will be based in Aberdeen.
