We recently supported one of our Clients with the planning and execution of a route preparation scope to ready the seabed for installation of export cables as part of a key UK OWF. This involved mobilisation of a route preparation plough and survey spread onboard a chartered AHV and the ploughing of over 45km of export cable route to remove boulders and other potential hazards to cable installation and burial. The scope also involved MBES survey of the cleared sections to confirm suitability of the routes for export cable installation. Our project engineers supported preparation of the necessary project deliverables as well as the planning and execution of the vessel mobilisation and offshore operations. This culminated in a safe and successful route preparation campaign.
Offshore renewables is a key market for Sealand Projects Ltd and one where our core strengths are readily transferable in a number of areas including fixed and floating wind as well as wave and tidal. This scope marked the 20th renewable project we have been involved in and we look forward to many more as we support our clients on the Pathway to Net Zero!
