After a busy period over the summer months, we were very fortunate to have a Team Build session last week, which saw us take our personnel out onto the open sea🌊 to enjoy a trip out to the Aberdeen Windfarm. Thankfully, the weather was on our side on the day and the sun shone 🌞 for the 1½ hour cruise, and we got up close to the spectacular sight of the Wind Turbines in motion at Aberdeen Bay.
The Sea-Cab/Taxi🚢 is fully licensed to carry 12 passengers per voyage plus crew compliment. This vessel has been purpose built for crew transfers and passenger transport and has been in full service since 2013. There was a talk from the crew onboard about the history and operations today at the port and the crew were happy to share information on the Port of Aberdeen’s history, operational activities today and insights into the Windfarm.
The only downside was that we didn’t see any dolphins🐬on this trip, but maybe next time 🤞
Following on from the windfarm tour, we had also arranged a treasure hunt, which was a good 3½ mile walk around exploring the city, discovering famous sights and hidden places, with both teams (if following the trail correctly) ending up in one of Aberdeen’s most historic pubs for a well deserved 🍺 !!
All in all it was a fantastic day out and the team had a fab day on Sea and Land…..great to be living up to our name even on our downtime 🤣!!
